Media Information

The Cardinal Mooney Catholic Athletic Department is responsible for maintaining consistent, professional, and mission-aligned communication with the school’s key audiences. This includes internal updates, media relations, and social media coverage of Mooney Athletics. All content—written, visual, and video—must reflect the values of Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School and support the school’s pillars of faith, academics, athletics, and student life.

Media Credentials Policy

All members of the media must apply for credentials through the official Media Request Form. A separate request is required for each event—universal or blanket credentials are not permitted. Submission of the form constitutes agreement to screening protocols and compliance with all Mooney and Diocese of Venice policies.

Football Media Requests:

• FOOTBALL Media Credential Request Form
• Requests for football media credentials must be submitted by Wednesday at 5 PM prior to game day.
• Approval notifications will be sent via email by Thursday. If you do not receive a confirmation, please check your spam folder or contact the Athletic Department at [email protected]

General Athletic Media Requests:

• GENERAL Athletic Media Request Form
• Requests for media credentials must be submitted by 72 hours prior to date of event.
• Approval notifications will be sent via email no later than 24 hours prior to the date of the event. If you do not receive a confirmation, please check your spam folder or contact the Athletic Department at [email protected]

Interview Requests

All interview requests—including those for radio, television, web, or phone—must be submitted using the Media Request Form. Please allow at least 48 hours for processing. Detailed information in the request form will assist in timely review and approval.

Requesting Media Credentials

To request media credentials for an athletic event or to arrange an interview with a coach or student-athlete, please complete the following application. Approval is required for all media personnel attending events as credentialed members of the press.

By submitting this application, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:

• Photographic Use: Credentialed media may take photographs strictly for editorial use in connection with approved coverage of Cardinal Mooney athletics. The sale, commercial use, or redistribution of these images beyond the original assignment is prohibited without prior written consent from Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School.
  
• Video Broadcast Rights: No video broadcasting, live streaming, or resale of game footage is permitted without express written permission from the Cardinal Mooney Athletic Department.
• Compliance with Regulations: All credentialed media must comply with school policies, diocesan guidelines, and on-site instructions provided by school officials.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Football: Game Day requests must be submitted by 5:00 PM on the Wednesday before game day. Approvals will be issued via email no later than Thursday. Due to limited sideline space, credentials will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
• General Sports: All media requests must be submitted at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled event and are subject to approval.
