Colleen Bellenghi-Assistant Coach

Colleen grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs and has lived in Bradenton since 1997. Her interests in cheerleading began 9 years ago when her oldest daughter started to cheer. Through the years of volunteering and serving as team mom for her daughter’s middle school, high school, and All Star competitive cheer teams, her love for the sport grew. Colleen is a registered nurse and enjoys spending time with her husband Mike and their two daughters Emily and Abby. She is excited to be a part of the cheer team and is looking forward to a great season!

Ashley Dooley-JV Coach

The Cougar Cheer program welcomes Ashley into her 4th year as the JV cheer coach. Ashley was born and raised in Sarasota. She is a Mooney graduate where she cheered all four years. When she’s not coaching cheer, Ashley is the director of Client Relations of Fiduciary Wealth Advisors. Ashley says one of her favorite things about coaching is watching the girls grow over the years… not only in cheerleading, but into their futures selves.

Fall Sports Recap

The Cheer leading program this year has been very active in the school community. Both the JV and Varsity squads worked hard to put on the homecoming pep rally. The cheerleaders also work hard to cheer on the football players on Thursday and Friday nights. The squads are very excited for upcoming events such as Mooney Day, senior night, and much more. Go Cougars!
