Boys Qualify for Regionals…

The Mooney Cross Country Runners posted a great season.  The boys team finished 4th at Districts and earned themselves a spot at the Regional Championship meet in Lakeland seeded 11th out of 40 teams.  The boy’s team had 3 Top 20 District finishers who led the way for the Cougars.  Sebastian Lescano finished 13th, Alec Stetler 15th and Jordan Post was 19th.  Christian Laureno, Jackson Day, Cal McFall and Ben Hall rounded out the Team of 7 runners.  On the girls side, the team finished 6th at Districts, just one place shy of qualifying for the next round.  The girls were led by junior Tristan Shipe, senior Melanie Meegan and Sophomore Sophia Skirball.  Congratulations to Coaches Christi McDonald and Ben Farmer and our Mooney Runners.
