Dear Cardinal Mooney Families:
I am so grateful for your continued support as we navigate these challenging times. The Diocese of Venice has extended the suspension of classes on the campuses of all its schools through April 15, 2020. Therefore, our teachers are diligently preparing to begin distance learning and virtual instruction on Tuesday March 31 until further notice.
Next week, we will provide you with a detailed communication outlining the next steps for distance learning. Please know that we remain steadfastly committed to providing the best possible Catholic education for each student.
We will continue to evaluate this situation as matters unfold. The school community will be informed as to a reopen date, as well as for rescheduled event dates, as soon as the information is made available. For more information, go to our website for updates and answers to frequently asked questions. In the meantime, if you or your students have any questions, you may contact Rene Hebda at [email protected].
In times like these, I am reminded of one of my favorite scriptures, which says:
Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
Let us continue to pray for all those who are working to keep us safe, for those who are ill, for those who have died, and for those scientists that may find a way to prevent further illness.
Yours in Christ,
