Tuition assistance awards are based on the family’s demonstrated need as determined by FACTS. FACTS is a third party grant and aid assessment company that makes financial assessments for schools. FACTS uses information supplied by the applicant to assess financial need. Applications for assistance are available online at
www.factstuitionaid.com. Both recommendations from FACTS and the Cardinal Mooney High School Financial Aid Request Form will be considered by the financial aid committee. To be considered for assistance your student(s) must be registered at Cardinal Mooney. Submitting an application does not guarantee assistance. Final Financial Aid amounts awarded are determined by the CMHS Financial Aid Committee.
Directions for Tuition Assistance
A. FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment will be conducting the financial need analysis for Cardinal Mooney High School for the upcoming 2012-2013 school year.
Families applying for financial aid will need to apply online at www.factstuitionaid.com and submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment as soon as possible.
- Copies of your most recent tax forms including all supporting tax schedules.
- Copies of your 2010 W-2 (you must also submit copies of the 2011 W-2 when they become available) form for both you and your spouse.
- Copies of supporting documentation for Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, Worker’s Compensation, and TANF.

B. Complete the Cardinal Mooney Financial Aid Request form and return to Cardinal Mooney High School by March 31, 2012.

- Copies of your W-2 form for both you and your spouse.
- Copy of the FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment Form that was sent directly to FACTS. (Including a copy of your 2010 or 2011 tax return.)

The financial aid grants will be awarded sometime around May 1, 2012. Notification will be made to you by letter. Both recommendations from FACTS and the Cardinal Mooney High School Financial Aid Request Form will be considered by the financial aid committee. All information given will be kept confidential. It is important that you file ALL forms as soon as possible – the school’s and the one to the FACTS scholarship service. No decisions will be made until the school financial aid committee receives data from FACTS.

Academic Scholarships:
Academic scholarships are awarded based on the performance on the December placement exam. There are one time awards and renewable awards based on the performance on the exam. All other financial awards are needs based and fall under tuition assistance.
